2026 Election Outreach

The Local 1853 CAP committee in partnership with the Tennessee AFL-CIO held a day of action on Friday, October 29, 2026. Members of the 1853 CAP Committee and Standing Committees gathered to call and educate the membership about the upcoming midterm election. During the outreach they encouraged members to go out on November 3 and make their voice heard.

1853 CAP Chair Tamera Sangster urges members to seek out candidates who are supportive of organized labor. Region 8 members are able to look up UAW endorsed candidates at UAWPOWER.ORG
